Description:This position is primarily responsible for cutting and displaying high quality meat products in the most efficient, courteous manner possible for all Cosentino customers.
Duties:The following are key areas of responsibility for this position:
1. Cutting and preparing all cuts of meat for placement in display cases.
2. Monitoring expiration dates and practicing proper rotation techniques.
3. Assisting department managers in inventory management through accurate counting and scanning of items.
4. Changing shelf tags and ensuring accuracy of price changes throughout the department.
5. Weighing, wrapping and pricing selected items for the customer.
6. Unloading and sorting incoming shipments and stocking them in designated areas.
7. Stocking department shelves.
8. Providing excellent customer service and answering customer questions in a knowledgeable, courteous manner.
9. Resolving customer concerns in a professional manner.
Qualifications:1. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
2. Journeyman cutter experience is required.
3. Should be familiar with use and cleaning of key meat cutting equipment.
4. Applicants should have experience with country of origin labeling.
5. Must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills due to a high level of customer interaction.
6. Must be able to work well independently and in a team environment.
7. In addition to other aspects listed in a full job description, applicants should be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., bend, twist and squat, and tolerate long periods of standing and walking.
